Ahmarnya you and your work are really super special and amaziing! Thankyou for sharing! I loved your exhibition and could spend hours with one piece, will definately have to go again while it's up. I appreciated the text component, really interesting to read your considerations and elements, lyrics, influences. Great blog too, I will be reccomending more people to look at it. Would be really wonderful to publish an art book/ narrative/ bound collection of pages. I would love to own one! Chay-Ya
i so love the World at Large series, and could stare at them for hours. i love the way each image picks up the themes and objects of the previous month. They sit so beautifully and cohesively as a calendar collection.
i agree with Chay-Ya, you could publish them in a printable book format. There are some web services that let you publish/print on demand. (Whether it's worth the cost/effort i don't know.)
Ahmarnya Price is a visual artist and theatre maker currently living and working in Melbourne, Australia. Interested in the way we make sense and non-sense out of the constant flow of information, her work aims to playfully interpret the complexities of the human experience and translate that experience into both meaningful and absurd pictorial and theatrical moments.
Since 1997 Ahmarnya has exhibited regularly and performed in artist run spaces and participated in solo and group exhibitions/shows throughout Melbourne, Queensland, New Zealand, Edinburgh, Japan, Russia and the Czech Republic.
Currently Ahmarnya is working with Back to Back Theatre and as artistic director of The Chaotic Order – an inter-disciplinary performance ensemble housed at Footscray Community Arts Centre.
